Last event in Indian stage of "BRICS People Choosing Life" took place at Prf.Ramkrishna More College

The baton of the presentation of the Multilateral Cultural and Research Project "Great BRICS Teachers" in India ended at Professor Ramkrishna More College in the framework of an international interdisciplinary symposium on the topic "The Contribution of a Teacher, Philosopher and Scientist to my Life", dedicated to the birthday of member of Parliament, former Minister of Agriculture of the Government of India, Mr. Sharad Pawar.


The event was the last in the Indian stage of the International social and cultural Program "BRICS People Choosing Life", combining humanitarian and business tracks. About 700 students, teachers, scientists, experts, and volunteers participated in cultural and educational events in Pune.


The meeting was organized by Snevardhan Research Institute, Pune, India, the Department of English of the College of Professor Ramkrishna More, Akurdi, Pune, India, in partnership with the Regional Public Organization "BRICS. World of Traditions", Moscow, Russia.


The meeting began with a greeting from the College’s Principal, Professor Shilpagauri Ganpule who underlined the importance of the event for strengthening friendship and cooperation between Indian students and Russian student youth, for learning and promoting the peace-loving ideas of Teachers of the BRICS peoples: Mahatma Gandhi, Leo Tolstoy, Confucius, Nelson Mandela, Baron de Rio Branco.


In their speeches, the Honored Guests Dr. Snehal Tawre and President of the RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions" Lyudmila Sekacheva focused on the unique cultural and research project "Great BRICS Teachers", where a special place is given to the apologists of nonviolence, philosophers and teachers Leo Tolstoy and Mahatma Gandhi, whose activity was studied by the Russian and Indian colleagues throughout a significant part of their lives.



Members of the delegation, Dmitry Kurbatov, Anastasia Shkitina, Dmitry Chiglintsev and Rahul Sharma conducted the presentation of the project "Great BRICS Teachers” on a great creative and emotional uplift. The students actively participated in the discussion of the Project and answered the questions of the journalist. The attention and interest of the participants in this topic were earnest.

Especially for the meeting, college students laid out on the floor a colorific drawing with the flags of Russia and India in the style of Indian folk art – Rangoli, which, together with colorful flags with the words "Friendship", "Trust", "Love", made by the organizers of the Indian program, symbolizes the unfading friendship between the peoples of India and Russia.



In her address to college students, the Program’s manager Lyudmila Sekacheva expressed confidence that young people can build their lives and their worldview through the prism of moral and spiritual values as the commandment of the Indian sage Mahatma Gandhi calls to this: "If you want to change the world for the better, start with yourself, become part of this change".



The soul of the meeting was the college professor, coordinator of the English Language Learning Center, Dr. Shilpagauri Prasad Ganpule, whose positive energy, kindness and optimism were transmitted to all participants, and great organizational skills deserved sheer admiration.


It is symbolic that it was Dr. Shilpagauri Prasad Ganpule who supported and helped to realize the idea of the organizers of the Program to launch multicolored balloons with the tricolor of the Russian and Indian national flags into the sky to mark the completion of the Program "BRICS People Choosing Life" and as a sign of the inseparable connection between Russia and India.

Such a festive end of the Program excited and appealed to all the participants of the meeting.


Assessing the Indian stage of the Program, the organizers highlighted that "The Program implemented in India, aimed at supporting the spiritual, moral and physical condition of people, preserving their love of life, humanity and resilience, has truly become a Program of Life that will contribute to the development of healthy five-lateral relations between the peoples of the BRICS countries".
