The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated with pride and patriotic enthusiasm at the Embassy of India in Tashkent, bringing together members of the Indian community and friends of India in a vibrant reflection of unity, shared heritage, and national spirit.
Mr Yogesh Kumar, CEO of AkaCorp Global Tech (AkaSoft), also serving as Honorary Advisor, International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, was invited to be a part of the celebration. He is the Core Member of the Indian Community in Tashkent (ICT).
The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the Indian Tricolour by the Chargé d’Affaires, followed by excerpts from the Hon’ble President of India’s Address, reaffirming the country’s democratic foundations, constitutional strength, and inclusive growth. Cultural performances and a heartfelt mass singing of Vande Mataram added to the solemn yet uplifting atmosphere, symbolizing unity and national pride.
The event also underscored India’s soft power and people-centric diplomacy, highlighting the growing role of the Indian diaspora in Uzbekistan. With a community now exceeding 30,000 members including professionals, students, entrepreneurs, and families, the Indian community continues to serve as a vital bridge in strengthening people-to-people ties and long-term cooperation between India and Uzbekistan.

The celebration stood as a proud reminder of India’s global presence and enduring friendships, reflecting the spirit of unity and collaboration that continues to connect nations and communities across borders.
