ICT is a strong and active group of Indian professionals from pharmaceuticals, IT, and other white-collar sectors, closely connected with the Embassy of India in Tashkent. Mr Yogesh Kumar, CEO of AkaCorp Global Tech (AkaSoft), also serving as Honorary Advisor, International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, has been elected as a Core Member of the Indian Community in Tashkent (ICT)
The members of ICT, remain firmly committed to advancing the mission and vision of the Indian Community in Tashkent, working in a structured, inclusive, and service-oriented manner under the guidance of a distinguished leadership team:
Dr. Ashok Tiwari, Chairman, Honorary Doctorate from SUI University, Pune, and recipient of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (2023);
Prof.(Dr.) Abhijit Tarawade Vice Chairman, Professor at Inha University, Tashkent;
Mr. Anand Kumar, Anand Kumar Dileep Secretary, Country Head of MIOT International Hospital;
Mr. Amit Munshi, Treasurer;
Dr. Komal Kumar, Optometrist, ICT Coordinator.
The community plays a key role in organizing cultural events such as Diwali and works with the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture to promote Hindi, Yoga, and Kathak, keeping Indian culture alive in Uzbekistan.
