The International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation (IYES Foundation) partners with the with the International Campaign “Garden of Peace” "САД МИРА" (#СадМира #gardenofpeace).
Non-governmental organizations of Eurasia and the United States will launch the international campaign "Garden of Peace" on April 25, 2021. It is timed to the day of the historic meeting on the Elbe of the allies-Soviet and American troops - in 1945.
On April 25, on the day of the meeting of Soviet and American troops on the Elbe in 1945, the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly, together with partners, launches the International “Garden of Peace” campaign under the slogan “Keep the World – Plant a Tree – Save the Planet”.
Participants from many countries like Russia, United States of America, India, China, Canada, Moldova, Israel, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Portugal, Lithuania, Singapore will part in the campaign.
Uniting all humanity for peace, tranquillity and development of our planet is the main goal of this action, and in future, possibly, of the social movement.
The initiative group, consisting of representatives of Russian and American organizations and individuals, proposed to mark the next anniversary of the historic meeting on the Elbe with mass planting of trees. “By honouring war veterans while contributing to the fight against climate change, we express our concern for preserving the historical memory of the outcome of World War II and protecting the environment. It depends on each of us what kind of world we will live in,” – the initiative group notes.
Anyone regardless of location, political and religious beliefs, age, gender can take part in this action. The Campaign starts on April 25, 2021.
You can take part in it by organizing, singly or collectively, planting one or more trees in a place permitted by the legislation of your country.
Take a photo or short video (horizontal) and email it to gardenofpeace@eurasia-assembly.org for social media and video. You can also post the video on social networks yourself by putting two hashtags under it #садмира #gardenofpeace and tag the account @eurasiaassembly . The Campaign will be covered on partner resources and in the media throughout 2021.
