IYES Foundation at the Conference of the International Project Congress


On 17th February 2023, a conference of the International Project Congress was held at the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation in Moscow with the participation of young leaders from 34 countries in a hybrid format.


Conference was opened by Ilya LISNYAK, Chairman of the International Project Congress and preceded with the welcome addresses by Alena BULGAKOVA, member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation; and Mahmoud ELKOT, Senator of Egypt, Secretary of the Committee for Culture, Tourism and Media, Member of the Youth Coordinating Committee of Parties and Politicians.


Representatives of the new countries joined the International Project Congress and made presentations and speeches about their projects and future plans a presentation on the activities of the International Project office under the chairmanship of the Russian Federation was made by Mark KOROBOV, Secretary of the International Project Congress.


During the conference elections for the new chairman and secretariat were held in a hybrid form where Raymond Matlala from South Africa was unanimously elected as the new chairman of the International Project Congress for 2023 and it was decided to keep Russia as the base for the secretariat.


Anna ABRAZHENCHIK coordinator of the "Public Diplomacy" direction of the IPC shared the information about the SputnikPro media school and announced that Brazilian journalists will have a chance to visit Russia under this project.


Akil MOHAMMAD, Founder and Chairperson of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation showcased the results of the Indian phase of the five-lateral social and cultural program “BRICS People Choosing Life” which was organized by the Regional Public Organization “BRICS. World of Traditions” and the International Youth Edu-skills Foundation from December 12 to 21, 2022 in three cities of India (Delhi, Mumbai and Pune). The Indian Program was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Russian-Indian diplomatic relations, the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, and the 550th anniversary of the merchant Afanasy Nikitin’s journey to India. 12 events of the humanitarian and business tracks were held with the participation of about 2000 Indian people and organizations.
