On December 14, 2022, within the framework of the Mumbai stage of the international social and cultural program "BRICS People Choosing Life" co-organised by IYES Foundation with RPO "BRICS. World of Traditions", the participants of the business mission visited the production of Connectwell Industries in Dombivli, Maharashtra, India.
Connectwell is a leading manufacturer of terminal blocks in India. Currently, besides the "Din Rail" and "PCB" blocks, Connectwell offers a wide range of products, including interface modules, professional tools and switching power supplies.
The delegation comprising three members – Dmitry Akimov and Alexander Maslennikov, representatives of the Russian companies "ACS Promsnab" and "Metrology and Automation", as well as the founder and chairman of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation Akil Mohammad, was met by Head of Marketing at the Department of International Trade of the Indian company Mr. Syed.
The official part of the meeting started with a general presentation of the program "BRICS People Choosing Life" and the transfer of the program booklets to the representatives of Connectwell. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Director of the company for International Business and Commodity Production Management Mr. Manohar Suvarna and the Manager for production and Technical Support Mr. Saed.
During the first session of the meeting, the representatives of Connectwell presented their company and product catalog showing the manufactured goods to their Russian colleagues. Continuing the meeting, an excursion took place including a visit to the testing laboratory and four production workshops. Throughout the tour, Russian entrepreneurs were shown the full cycle of the production process, including product development, testing, packaging, warehousing and delivery of goods.
After lunch, the second session of the meeting was held where Dmitry Akimov made a presentation of the company "ACS Promsnab", highlighting the interests of the enterprise in the Indian market and the products of the company "Connectwell", in the import of which the Samara region is interested, and emphasizing the desire of "ACS Promsnab" to become the exclusive distributor of Connectwell products in this Russian region.
The third session of the meeting was dedicated to negotiations when the conditions of import, payment, supplies, the number of purchased goods and various other issues were discussed. As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to conclude an agreement of cooperation and organize the supply of products of "ACS Promsnab" to the company "Connectwell" in February-March 2023.
At the end of the business meeting, Russian and Indian colleagues exchanged souvenirs and samples of manufactured products.
The business meeting of the Samara delegation and the Indian manufacturers confirmed the serious interest of the parties to establish diversified economic cooperation and develop mutually beneficial import-export exchange in the near future.
