Akil Mohammad took part in the Festival "Friendship of Peoples and Traditions of Hospitality" in Moscow

The festival “Friendship of Peoples and Traditions of Hospitality” was held in Petrovsky Park in Moscow Russia. The festival was organized by the charity foundation “Moms for Moms”. The festival has become a platform for “public diplomacy” of Russia.

This year the festival brought together more than a hundred participants, including foreigners. Among them were guests of the Annunciation Church in Petrovsky Park, and representatives of the BRICS association.

Organizers Dana Bayakovskaya (director of the Moms for Moms foundation), Ekaterina Larina-Prinada (managing partner of the foundation) and Father Fyodor Lukyanov (chairman of the commission on family issues, protection of motherhood and childhood) claim that the projects presented at the festival will help form friendly relations between people of different nationalities:

The project of the foundation “World cuisines” provided an opportunity to visitors to taste different cuisines. In the food court area, visitors, under the strict guidance of 30 professional chefs, prepared dishes of Georgian, Uzbek, Greek and Russian cuisine were distributed for free. The World Cuisines project is aimed at creating a communication channel and strengthening cooperation between Russia and the world community.

The festival consisted of several thematic areas. One of the most striking among them is “The Work of Life”. It is dedicated to finding yourself and your hobby. Visitors painted flowers, burned wood, learned first aid or made presentations.

A round-table was also held within the framework of the festival with the support of Fedor Anatolievich Lukyanov, Chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on Family Issues, Protection of Motherhood and Childhood to discuss the projects for international cooperation and projects for children and families in need.

“Our country has always been strong in public diplomacy. Russia must promote traditional values, be closer to culture and spirituality,” emphasized Father Fyodor Lukyanov.

Akil Mohammad, Founder and Chairperson of the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation and Deputy Head of the “Russia-BRICS” Projects office for International Youth cooperation during the round table said that such festivals can help Russia and India better understand each other: “We are deeply interested in the development of Russian-Indian relations and are ready to cooperate. The future lies in unanimity.”

“A huge thank you to everyone who was able to join us today. Today, the Moms for Moms foundation also held the festival -Friendship of Peoples and Traditions of Hospitality and presented the project “Cuisines of the World”, “Work of Life” during the festival. The project allows children to form friendly relations with people of other nationalities through the simplest and most understandable way - cooking and eating together. As well as studying the traditions and culture of a given country. This allows us to unite people around Russia.” said Dana Bayakovskaya, Director of the Moms for Moms foundation.
