INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM “BRICS PLUS”

The International Youth Forum "BRICS PLUS" will take place from 12-16 December 2021 in India in hybrid format (offline & online). The Forum is organized by the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation in association with the Confederation of Young Leaders and the Project Office for International Youth Cooperation “Russia-BRICS” with the support of the Alexander Gorchakov Public Diplomacy Fund.
The International Youth Forum "BRICS PLUS" aims to unite youth leaders, public organizations, youth activists, scholars, scientists, entrepreneurs and students from the BRICS and friendly countries to provide better understanding and knowledge of the BRICS and develop and future cooperation in the field of culture, academic, youth, sports, business, and creative industries.
The forum will create positive image of BRICS among the youth from different countries. It will also become a platform to develop partnerships at the youth level and expanding more information about BRICS countries. It would bring the spread of BRICS Youth cooperation to use dissemination and development of previously achieved results promoting new ideas and attracting new partners from the other countries to work closely and create a new form of cooperation.
The main objectives of the forum are to:
Raise awareness about BRICS among youth and explore the opportunities.
Develop inclusive leadership among youth for cooperation with BRICS.
Share knowledge and information on the recent development in the field of art, culture science, business and academic spheres within BRICS countries.
Review the BRICS results of BRICS Chairship in 2021 and prepare proposal the for the BRICS leadership in the framework of BRICS PLUS.
Achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals through practical actions.
Encourage young people and the people around them to develop a healthy lifestyle and environmental protection concept.
Expected outcomes of the Forum:
Proposals and recommendations for the BRICS leadership in the BRICS Plus cooperation
Partnership Agreements for cooperation between the organizations of the participants
Creating a voice for BRICS in other countries as well as creating awareness among the citizens of BRICS nations.
Who can participate:
Youth leaders, entrepreneurs, representatives of public organizations, journalists, activists, scholars, scientists, diplomats, experts, and stakeholders from the spheres of international cooperation, entrepreneurship, Innovation & Creative Industries, public diplomacy, art and culture between the age of 20-35 can participate in the forum (age exceptions are possible depending on the project or ideas presented in the application form).
Benefits to delegates:
Delegates will be offered with an opportunity to present their ideas, projects, products, organization or company to experts, delegates, and participants of the forum. The forum will become an extraordinary platform to meet new partners and get advices from experts and mentors. Delegates and participants of the forum will be able to broaden their professional horizons, develop communication skills, and study specifics of cooperation among the BRICS countries – their positions on the global arena, prospects of institutionalization of the BRICS format, goals, and priorities of the grouping for the future.
Among the experts and mentors of the forum will be top Indian and international experts and practitioners, representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations, ministries, and agencies, think tanks with considerable experience in BRICS research.
Working language is English. (Translation from Russian to English or vice versa could be provided on request)
Participating countries: Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Serbia, Turkey, Iran & Egypt. Participation from other interested countries also welcomed.
Types of participation:
Delegates: Those who wants to make presentations or speak in the forum about their ideas, projects, products, organization, or company.
Participants: Listeners and visitors of the forum coming for networking, information and knowledge within BRICS PLUS format.
Upon completion of the forum, participants will receive certificate of participation.
Terms of participation for delegates:
Participation in the forum is free of charge.
Flight to India and back, medical insurance and visa fees (if applicable) will be covered by the delegates themselves or by delegating organizations.
Accommodation, meals, local transfer in India and a cultural program for all the delegates and experts of the forum will be provided by the organizers.
Visa invitation to international delegates and experts of the forum will be provided by the organizers.
