The Gorchakov Foundation, together with the St. Petersburg State University of Economics (SPbSUE) and the International TV BRICS network in partnership with the Global Energy Association and the Russian Energy Agency (REA Ministry of Energy of Russia) has opened applications for an internship program for energy specialists from Latin America and Caribbean.
In the context of the global transformation of the world energy architecture, Russian fuel and energy companies are becoming active participants in ensuring energy stability and security in Latin America and the Caribbean. Domestic enterprises carry out joint project activities with a number of countries in the region, taking part both in the exploration and development of oil fields and in large infrastructure projects, including a number of projects for the development of nuclear energy, hydropower and renewable energy sources.
In addition to lectures and seminars, an important part of the program will be visits to government agencies, industrial enterprises and large energy infrastructure facilities. Among them are the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Department of Transport of the Moscow Government, facilities of PJSC Mosenergo, PJSC Rosseti, PJSC Transneft, CS Severnaya, PJSC Gazprom, and the state corporation Rosatom.
The theme of the program is “The Changing Energy Landscape.”
The results of the competition will be announced on June 21. All candidates will be informed of the selection results by email.
Who can become a participant?
citizenship of a Latin American and Caribbean country;
specialized education and work experience in the field of economics, management and technology in the energy sector;
professional knowledge of English (at least level C1);
The candidate must be currently employed by an energy company or agency in Latin America and the Caribbean.
How to participate?
Register on the Gorchakov Foundation website. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email, check your Spam folder.
Go to the “My Projects” section, click the “Create Application” button, select the “InteRussia Energy” competition, click the “Yes” button.
Fill in ALL required fields.
In the “Submit Application” section, click on the “Submit Application” button and wait for the status to change from “Preparation” to “Submitted”.
The organizers provide:
travel from the applicant’s place of residence to St. Petersburg and back, as well as from St. Petersburg to Moscow to complete part of the internship in Moscow;
single occupancy in St. Petersburg, double occupancy in Moscow;
visa support;
stipend for the duration of the internship in the amount of 30,000 rubles;
cultural program.
Participants pay:
food during the internship;
PCR test (if necessary);
health insurance.
