The Gorchakov Fund has announced the opening of applications for its final scientific and educational programme, “Dialogue for the Future — 2026.”
Key theme: How to negotiate in an emerging world order?
This year’s programme will focus on international negotiations and diplomacy. Participants will discuss mechanisms for reaching international agreements, the role of international institutions amid uncertainty, the impact of media and translation on the negotiation process, as well as the evolving profession of a negotiator.

Mechanisms for reaching international agreements;
The role of translation, media and information in international negotiations;
The Russian diplomatic tradition and its influence on contemporary diplomatic practice.
The programme will include masterclasses, meetings with diplomats and experts, and a team-based negotiation simulation.
Who can participate?
The programme is open to representatives of Russian regions and other interested countries aged 23 to 35:
international relations specialists, political scientists, economists, journalists and historians;
young diplomats and civil servants;
representatives of NGOs working in international humanitarian cooperation and public diplomacy;
Master’s and PhD students, as well as faculty members of relevant universities.
How to apply?
Register on the English-language version of the Gorchakov Fund website or log in to your existing account.
Go to “My projects”, click “Create Application” and select “Dialogue for the Future — 2026.”
Complete all sections of the application form.
Complete the video-based application task: present your approach to solving a negotiation case in a video of up to 3 minutes in Russian or English.
Attach a recommendation letter from your place of employment or study.
Go to “Submit Application” and submit your application.
The organizers will cover round-trip travel expenses to the venue for the authors of the three best applications.
Participation conditions:
The Fund covers accommodation in twin rooms, meals, the cultural programme and transportation within Moscow as part of the programme;
participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Moscow (air or rail tickets), transportation from/to the airport or railway station, as well as visa fees, if applicable.
