The Gorchakov Fund announces a call for applications for the annual educational program “The Balkan Dialogue – 2026”, which will take place on June 2–6 in Belgrade, Serbia.
The program will include:
workshops and discussions on different topics:
meetings with experts from Russia and the Balkan region;
project work and presentation of participants’ own solutions.
Who can participate?
Invited to apply are young specialists, students, researchers, representatives of government bodies and NGOs, journalists, aged 20-35 and interested in the region.
Essay topics:
Energy security in the Balkans: challenges, resources, and prospects of cooperation.
Military and political alliances and new technologies in Southeastern Europe’s security sphere.
Media and narratives: “information phantoms” and signs of conflict dynamics in the Balkans.
Terms of participation:
The Gorchakov Fund covers accommodation in shared double rooms, meals, cultural activities and transfers as part of the program.
Participants must cover their travel expenses to and from the location of the event (airplane or train tickets), visa fee (if it’s not possible to obtain a humanitarian visa), transfer to and from the airport or train station.
The organisers will cover travel expenses of the authors of three best essays.

In the «My projects» section, create an application for the Balkan Dialogue 2026.
Fill in the application form.
Attach a letter of motivation and essay
Submit application.
