From July 15 to August 5, the International Children’s Center “Artek” will host the “World of BRICS – World of the Future” International Children’s Shift to mark the 100th anniversary of Artek and public diplomacy. The shift will bring together 100 young leaders aged 14–17 from BRICS+ countries.

The event’s guest of honor is Ekaterina Lycheva, UN Peace Ambassador, renowned for her 1985 meeting with US President Ronald Reagan, which helped reduce Cold War tensions.

Who is invited?

Five English-speaking teenagers, aged 14-17 years, and one adult (accompanying person) from BRICS+ countries.

Conditions:

• Free for the teens! (travel, accommodation at the seacoast of beautiful Crimea – a peninsula in the Black Sea, meals)

• Perfect if participants know some Russian as well.

How to become a participant:

3. Complete the tasks.

4. If the candidate is selected, he/she will be sent a personal Certificate, after which our staff will advise him/her on how to get medical certificates for enrollment in Artek and register for this 8th shift of Artek.

• Designing projects of the future;

• An address from participants to world leaders;

• Filming a movie about the “WORLD OF BRICS – WORLD OF THE FUTURE” International Shift;

• Exploring BRICS+ cultures (music, dancing, literature, etc.);

• Establishing the “Children for Peace” Youth Movement;

• Hosting Children’s Olympic Games;

• Meetings with leaders in science, art, sports, politics, and public figures;

• “Peace Diplomacy” Festival;

• Closing concert "WORLD OF BRICS - WORLD OF THE FUTURE" featuring an address to world leaders.
