The XIV International Youth Camp "Dialog" will be held from August 14 to 18, 2023 (August 13 is the day of arrival, August 19 is the day of departure) on the basis of the ethnographic park–museum "ETNOMIR".
The XIV International Youth Camp "Dialogue" is part of the Action Plan for 2023-2024 for the implementation of the Strategy of International Youth Cooperation of the CIS member States for 2021-2030.
The purpose of the camp
To organize an educational communication platform bringing together young leaders from the Russian Federation, CIS member states and other foreign countries working in the field of interethnic and interfaith relations in order to strengthen friendly and professional ties, consolidate experience, improve professional skills and competencies, develop further cooperation and implement joint projects.
Tasks
create conditions for the exchange of experience and the formation of a community of young leaders from the Russian Federation, CIS member states and other foreign countries interested in developing further cooperation and implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations;
to increase the participants' intercultural competence and develop professional and supra-professional skills that contribute to the development and implementation of projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations;
identify and consider current problems and challenges on the way to strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations (including extremism, nationalism and xenophobia) in the realities of the participants and in society as a whole, as well as discuss ways to respond to them and develop possible responses through joint projects;
contribute to the development and implementation of projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations;
to present the experience, approaches and successful practices of the Russian Federation in the field of interethnic and interfaith relations, to tell about the existing opportunities and resources for the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations.
The XIV International Youth Camp "Dialogue" will bring together 100 participants interested in expanding public relations and cooperation, as well as implementing joint projects aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations.
Participants will be represented by three main groups:
60 young leaders from the Russian Federation;
20 young leaders from CIS member states;
20 young leaders from other foreign countries.
A candidate for participation in the camp must meet the following criteria:
be between the ages of 18 and 35;
be a representative of a youth public organization / a representative of an informal youth association / a representative of a student organization / a representative of a youth ethnic organization / a representative of the youth wing of the national-cultural autonomy / a representative of the student community / a representative of the association of foreign students / a young ethnojournalist / a young ethnoblogger / a young person with a ready-made project or project idea aimed at strengthening interethnic and interfaith relations;
be motivated and able to organize events and projects after the camp in cooperation with other camp participants;
be ready to work on the dissemination and enhancement of the knowledge gained during the camp;
be ready to take part in all activities planned as part of the camp program;
able to speak English or Russian.
The XIV International Youth Camp "Dialogue" is held jointly by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the National Council of Youth and Children's Associations of Russia and the federal state Budgetary educational institution of Higher Education "MIREA – Russian Technological University", which performs the functions of the Basic Organization of the CIS member states for youth work.
