On April 17-22, 2023, on the basis of the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation of the TSPU (Tomsk State Pedagogical University), the XVII International Student Scientific and Practical Conference "Foreign Language and Intercultural Communication" will be held. Students, undergraduates and graduate students of educational organizations in Russia and abroad are invited to participate in full-time or online format.
The traditional conference "Foreign Language and Intercultural Communication", held by the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation, is the platform for professional interaction for students, their teachers and students of other scientific and educational organizations in Russia and abroad, which provides an opportunity to both discuss professional problems and share practical experience, learn new approaches to the study of the material.
The work of the conference is planned in the following areas (sections):
linguistics;
linguodidactics and modern approaches in language education;
translation and translation studies;
literary criticism;
intercultural communication;
country studies and linguistic studies.
In their reports, participants present their own research experience, summarize the results and discuss the findings with colleagues.
Participation in the conference allows students of the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Cooperation to test their scientific research carried out as part of term papers and final qualifying works. Junior students learn from their senior colleagues to plan, structure and present research on the methods of teaching foreign languages, translation studies and intercultural communication.
Most of the reports after the conference are published in a collection indexed by the RSCI system. The release of the collection is scheduled for September 2023. Those planning to publish the article must send the documents specified in the information letter to the Organizing Committee by April 25, 2023 inclusive.
