If you are a young expert between the ages of 18 and 35, representing an educational institution, business, charity, academic center, government agency, NGO or analytical center from the BRICS countries or the Global South, and share an interest in global energy and related issues, the BRICS Youth Energy Agency invites you to join groups of young people BRICS YEA experts.
This year, members of the Young Expert Groups will be challenged to provide their recommendations and expertise for the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2024. The Young Expert Groups will conduct their studies under the following thematic tracks:
International Partnerships and Policy Advocacy
Just and Sustainable Energy Transition
Resource Management and Critical Minerals for Energy Transition
Sustainable Food Systems
Climate Change
Green Jobs and Skills for Energy Transition
Nuclear Energy and Technologies
The research is supposed to be conducted online (adapting different time-zones) in the period from March to May, 2024. Working language is English.
For the first time, BRICS YEA announce the contest for the Chief Expert and Secretary positions within each expert group. If you wish to apply for these roles, please fill out an application form where you tick the respective box and state your motivation and expertise. Kindly notice that BRICS YEA takes the responsibility to decide on the successful candidates and assign the Chief Expert and Secretary for each expert group.
Once participating in the BRICS YEA research projects, you become a part of unique and vivid expert community with exclusive unlimited access to all reports, documents, presentations and participating experts’ contact details to develop your projects and find partners for initiatives. Moreover, you get an opportunity to take part in the high-level conferences where the BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2024 is supposed to be presented, including VI BRICS Youth Energy Summit in Russia, UN Climate Change Conference in Azerbaijan and G20 ETWG Youth Parallel in Brazil.
