The A*STAR Graduate Scholarship enables aspiring researchers to pursue PhD studies in biomedical sciences, chemistry, physics, engineering, and other related fields. Scholars will gain deep research experience at A*STAR, contributing to impactful scientific work while completing their PhD at a local university. The scholarship also includes support for a 12-month overseas attachment to broaden global research exposure.

• Biomedical Sciences

• Computing and Information Sciences

• Engineering and Technology

• Physical Sciences

Eligibility:

• Singaporeans and other nationals are welcome to apply

• Non-Singaporeans and Non-Singapore Permanent Residents(Non-SPR) must have completed or are on track to complete a degree in a Singaporean autonomous university

• Satisfy criteria for and seek admission to PhD or EngD programme in an autonomous university

• Have obtained, or are on track to obtain, at least a 2nd Upper Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline

• Have not concurrently held any other scholarships or fellowships

• Have strong interest in pursuing a research career in related disciplines

Coverage:

Successful applicants will be given the following support for up to 4 years-

1. Full tuition fees

2. Book allowance

3. Computer allowance

4. Conference allowance

5. Thesis allowance

6. Up to 12 months of overseas attachment
