KAUST Global Fellowship Program aims to attract and support outstanding emerging research leaders and scientists from around the world to build their path towards a fully independent career. The program inspires the young generation of scientists and engineers to address global challenges and explore opportunities that benefit humanity.

This merit-based program targets excellent postdocs who have breakthrough ideas that can complement, support, contribute, and advance the major research priorities of KAUST.

Applicants Eligibility:

• Must have been awarded a Ph.D. degree within four calendar years;

• Must expect to complete their Ph.D. before the start of their Fellowship;

• Must be ready to move to KAUST to undertake their proposed three-year research project;

• Must identify in their application a KAUST faculty member who has confirmed and agreed to host them and their research project, if successful.

• People of all nationalities are welcome to apply.

  
  

Stipend and Research Budget:

KAUST Global Fellowship provides a 2-year plus 1-year fixed-term contract and an annual stipend of 75,000 USD (6,250 USD monthly), plus benefits (medical, relocation allowance, travel allowance, schooling for up to 2 children 4+ years old, daycare subsidy for younger children, housing depending on family status).

Relocation and travel allowance:

The relocation allowance is a flat rate of 3,000 USD (or as per the usual University rates) to cover any costs related to the Fellow and their family relocation to KAUST, including visa costs, shipping of personal belongings, etc.
