The competitive selection for the 7th BRICS Young Scientists Forum has begun, which will be held on August 29 - September 1, 2022 via videoconference chaired by the Chinese side.
The forum is a unique communication platform for talented young people from the BRICS countries to exchange experiences, expand the network of professional acquaintances and opportunities for joint research. Forum participants will present information about their scientific achievements during thematic sessions in the areas of "Biomedicine", "Artificial Intelligence", "New Materials" and "Low-Carbon Technologies".
The forum will be held under the motto "Unleashing the youth potential, we shape the future of BRICS". The Forum will also host the 5th BRICS Young Innovators Contest. The purpose of the competition is to reward promising young researchers from the BRICS countries for innovative initiatives in the field of low-carbon technologies, biomedicine, artificial intelligence, renewable energy sources and agriculture that can contribute to the socio-economic development of the five countries.
The prize fund of the Contest is 85,000 US dollars. The grand first place winner will receive a $25,000 reward; two participants who took second places - 15,000 each, three winners of third places - 10,000 each. 32 participants are expected from each BRICS country, of which 5 young scientists (up to 40 years old with a scientific degree) for each of the four listed above branches of knowledge, 10 young innovators with projects (up to 40 years old) and 2 expert jury members of this Competition.
In case of interest, before June 10, 2022, it is necessary to submit to the address of Albina Albertovna Kutuzova kutuzovaaa@minobrnauki.gov.ru the data of potential candidates from among:
young scientists (a completed application form in the attached form in English, a photograph, a copy of the main page of the Russian passport, as well as a short biography of the nominee and a letter of recommendation signed by the organization's management in Russian);
young innovators (a completed questionnaire in the attached form in English, a photograph, a copy of the main page of the Russian passport, as well as a short biography of the nominee and a letter of recommendation signed by the organization's management in Russian. In addition, information materials about the innovation project in English and Russian languages);
an expert jury member of the Contest (CV with a photo of the candidate in English and Russian, as well as a letter of recommendation signed by the management of the organization in Russian). Criteria for selecting candidates from the organization: the significance of the accumulated scientific experience, the level of qualification and advanced knowledge of the English language.
